Privacy Policy
Last updated
This policy explains, in plain terms, what personal data we collect on this website, what we use it for, who we share it with and what your rights are. It applies to the website and to the quote request form.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Mestre Amilson Remodelações. For any privacy question, you can contact us by phone on +351 933 185 754.
2. What data we collect
When you fill in the quote request form, we collect:
- Your name.
- Your mobile number.
- Your email address (optional).
- Your postcode and town.
- Details of the work and your answers to the questionnaire (for example, the type of service, the size and the current state of the space).
- How you prefer to be contacted (for example, a call or a message).
We also collect some technical data automatically:
- Where your visit came from: campaign parameters (UTM) and the ad click identifier, when present.
- The page where you entered the website.
- A code derived from your IP address (a hash), stored instead of the address itself and used only to prevent abuse and automated form submissions.
We don't ask for sensitive data, such as health information. Please don't include anything in the form that isn't needed for the quote.
When we send you a proposal by link, we record when you first open it and, if you accept it online, the name you enter and the date of acceptance.
3. What we use your data for, and on what legal basis
- To reply to your request, get in touch, arrange a visit and prepare your quote. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR, Article 6(1)(b)).
- To measure how well our ads work and understand where requests come from, based on the source of the visit and the entry page. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in assessing and improving our marketing (GDPR, Article 6(1)(f)).
- To measure ads through marketing cookies (Meta Pixel). Legal basis: your consent (GDPR, Article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.
- To protect the website against abuse, spam and automated submissions. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure (GDPR, Article 6(1)(f)).
- If you become a client, to perform the contract and meet our legal obligations, including tax and accounting requirements (GDPR, Article 6(1)(b) and (c)).
The fields marked as required in the form are needed for us to reply to your request. Without them, we can't prepare a quote.
4. Cookies
We use two types of cookies and similar technologies:
- Essential: they remember your chosen language and your cookie preferences. They're needed for the website to work and don't require consent.
- Marketing: the Meta Pixel, from Meta Platforms, measures how well our ads on Facebook and Instagram perform. It's only switched on if you give your consent.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the ‘Cookie preferences’ link in the website footer. Withdrawing consent doesn't affect any processing carried out before then.
5. Who we share your data with
We don't sell personal data. To run the website, we use service providers (processors) who handle the data on our behalf and only on our instructions:
- Vercel: website hosting.
- Neon: database, with servers in the European Union.
- Meta Platforms: ad measurement, only if you consent to marketing cookies. Meta also processes this data under its own privacy policy.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, for example in the United States. In those cases, the transfer relies on the safeguards provided for in the GDPR, such as European Commission adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
We may also disclose data to the authorities where the law requires it.
6. How long we keep your data
- Quote requests that don't go ahead, including the related technical data: up to 24 months after our last contact, in case you'd like to pick the project up again. After that, they're deleted or anonymised.
- Clients: for as long as the law requires, particularly for tax and accounting purposes.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access your data.
- Have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
- Have your data erased.
- Object to processing, including processing based on legitimate interest.
- Restrict processing.
- Receive your data in a commonly used format (data portability).
- Withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before then.
To exercise these rights, contact us by phone on +351 933 185 754. We may ask for information to confirm your identity. We'll reply within the time allowed by the GDPR, which is normally one month.
If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), at www.cnpd.pt.
8. Automated decisions
We don't make decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling, that have legal effects on you or affect you in a similarly significant way.
9. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limiting access to those who need the data to handle your request.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the website or the law. The date of the latest update is always shown on this page.
